With July 4th a day away, summer’s really starting to heat up for a lot of us. If you plan on spending a lot of time outside this weekend, it’s good to keep an eye out for heat-related illness. The New York Times does a good job outlining what to watch for and what to do.

Scott Roberts has been reporting on severe storms for radio and TV since 1981. He saw his first tornado as a reflection in the studio window of (as it was known then) KGLS-FM in Pratt. Scott has been actively storm chasing since the 2005 season, after spending two seasons as the Chase Coordinator at KWCH-TV and six years as part of the renowned KFDI News team. Scott lives in Haysville, is happily married with two daughters and four grandchildren...and for the time being we all live in the same house!
