Summary

Models have come into pretty good agreement on the Friday part of this event. The overall event will bring much-needed rain to a good part of Kansas over the weekend and into next week. As the system gets its act together on Friday, conditions will be good for a couple of tornadoes and strong straight-line wind along with hail up to just smaller than an egg.

Conditions are not right for a tornado outbreak, nor are they right for monster hail like was seen in Texas earlier this week. There won't have been enough time for moisture to make its way north, as dew points will be below 50 in most of the state. One model shows a tongue of dew points just above 50, along US-83 about sunset Friday.
